Our Philosophy
All youth require a community of caring people to guide them; remind them, laugh, celebrate, cry, play and teach them. They need to interact with people of all ages, gender, cultures, religions and lifestyles to assist in a healthy development. We acknowledge this need and consciously engage the services of role models from the community, as part of our curriculum and life experiences for the youth we serve. In a protected environment we believe that children can make mistakes and through constructive dialogue and discipline, learn from them. In addition to academics we focus on raising self-esteem and teaching core values.

Our Mission
Our mission is to create a wholesome and safe environment for children, where they can have and opportunity to be restored to a more rewarding quality of life. Our goal is to effectively match the needs of each child in our care with appropriate placement in as natural a home care environment as possible. We will emphasize education, self-esteem and development of personal values and support during the maturation process towards independence. This is accomplished by foster parents and with support services offered by the agency. Children are either reunited with their parents or emancipated as independent adults.

Our History
New Millennium Contemporary Management Inc. was founded in 1997 by Otis Thurman, a former Prison Administrator. Mr. Thurman had seen far too many juvenile offenders grow up to be criminals. He wanted to do something to be a part of the solution not a part of the problem. Mr. Thurman recognized that most children thrive in a caring and structured environment so he became a group home parent, opening the first group home in 1998.
By 2000, New Millennium was successfully operating 2 six-bed Group Homes. Mr. Thurman then saw a need to add a Foster Family Agency as an addition to better serve the children in need.
Over the years New Millennium has grown significantly by continuing to provide services to young children, teens and families as well as respond to local community needs. Our goal is to offer them hope and help for a brighter future.
